Sometimes, one of the hardest challenges in life is to talk about one’s problems. Taking that first step to attend a counselling session can take courage. Hence it is not surprising to hear clients express how much “lighter” they feel after their first session.Counselling offers one a confidential space to express oneself without fear of judgment. Through expressing ourselves and feeling heard, we are able to gain a clearer insight into our lives, enabling us to feel happier within ourselves, as well as in our relationships with others.

Experiencing grief and loss is an inevitable part of life. Unfortunately in Western society, we are often “expected” to grieve in a certain way or within certain timeframes. However, grieving is a process and a journey to be travelled. Having a counsellor to “walk” you through this journey can be extremely supportive.

In life, it is hard to escape experiencing or hearing about a traumatic event. Whether it is an accident, an act of violence or abuse from someone close to us, the emotional impact can be overwhelming. Counselling can help one identify and explore these emotions. The counsellor gently guides the client through the therapeutic healing process.

“MAKING THE CALL IS THE FIRST STEP.”
